Food is phenomenal! As soon as you walk in, you feel the Southern hospitality. Food took about 20ish minutes to come out but let me tell you, it was absolutely worth it! I had the sticky ribs and it was crispy and juicy and very delicious! Ive never had ribs like that. We also ordered the fried chicken and it's just how I imagine homecooked fried chicken in the South tastes like. We will absolutely be back.

We used to live on Norwood and would always see this spot whenever we'd drive up to the planet fitness on Watt. We figured we could try it out today and we came in as soon as it opened. Quick tip: park at the grocery store nearby, parking is a little weird in that corner. When we came in, chairs were still up, tables weren't ready but we were greeted immediately and were told what was available at the time. We ordered the smothered chicken with hush and I got the boneless wings bayou heat flavored. We took our seats and waited about 30 minutes or so for the food, and the food looked so good we forgot to snap a pic :p I don't have any issues with how things were getting set up as we were being seated because the host made sure to prioritize us and making sure things were prepped. Not every day will be perfectly set up, but you do what you can to make sure your guests are acknowledged and the orders are in. You will have to order first and pay before receiving the food. Just a heads up! As far as the environment, yes this place has a looot of personality, and in a good way! I also loved the music they played, I noticed a lot of newer r&b was being played (October London, I think Anderson .paak, some neo-soul). Everywhere you looked, you could tell a lot of love was put into this place, and you can see what they were experimenting around with to maximize the space they have. The food was amazing! The boneless wings were crispy and had a lot of flavor. The fries I got weren't too salted, and that could be fixed with the salt/pepper and other condiments on every table. My lady got the smothered chicken and the gravy was just crazy. Hush Pups were full of flavor. I think the only thing we may have had a problem with was our peach cobbler to-go. It tasted great, but she was expecting more of the crust than peaches. Thanks for having us!

Overall: 4.25/5 Food: 4/5 Customer Service: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Best Po'Boy I've had! I can't even lie, the Shrimp Po'Boy here go crazy!! The nicely toasted inside of the bun, the soft outer part of the bun, the batter on the shrimp is so light yet so crispy, the pairing of the grilled onions and peppers, and those 2 sauces they give you... Good GAWD! Outta here! I need that 5 days a week! The Ox Tails... Crazy!! So damn good. Literally, the best Ox Tails I've had at a restaurant and the closet to home cooked Ox Tails! The Peach Cobbler was my least favorite thing. The day I went, I think someone just went too heavy on the All-Spice. I will try a different dessert next time. But this place is one of my favorites just after the first visit. If your not familiar with the area, just don't park your car with valuables left out. If you do, you was warned! Lol
